President John Holt
Spotlight on John Holt, SSC's President. John is the President and CEO of Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union in Rocky Hill, CT. John has been with Nutmeg for 11 years and has been in banking for 28 years. John lives in Glastonbury, CT with his husband Barry and Beau (his Maltese dog). John earned a Master of Business Administration from Western New England College in Springfield, MA and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). John enjoys running, working out, reading, and of course seeing the amazing performances that Spotlight Stage Company puts on! John enjoys theater and even was the lead in a high school play where he performed as “The Church Lady”, a well know skit from SNL. His brief moment in the spotlight came to an abrupt ending after that as he realized that he was more of a banker than a performer but nonetheless enjoyed that brief moment on stage. John continues to advocate for diversity, inclusion and equality for all. He is honored to be on the Board of Spotlight Stage Company and looks forward to seeing you all at the next show!
Secretary Lauren Turenne
Spotlight on Lauren Turenne, SSC's Secretary! Lauren Patricia Turenne, an OG member of Spotlight, has been involved in theatre for over 25 years. She received a BA in Theatre from Western Connecticut State University and a MS in Counseling from Central Connecticut State University, where she currently works in Academic Affairs. In addition to acting in Spotlight Stage Company's productions, Lauren has worked behind the scenes with the Blessed Sacrament Children's Theatre, Post Theatrical Players and LaMar Productions with their Summer on Stage children's summer camp. Lauren has performed and Emceed shows for Spotlight in the past.
Treasurer Brian Zullo
Spotlight on Brian Zullo, SSC's Treasurer. Brian is the owner and CEO of Birch & Flame, https://www.birchandflame.com an advertising agency here in the state of CT. Brian is a behind the scenes type, so you've probably seen his client's commercials and billboards and heard his client's radio ads without even knowing it is him doing the creative bit behind the scenes.
Brian is married to Artistic Director Christopher Zullo and has been involved, in some manner, with all of the productions Spotlight has produced. He helps with set builds, painting, selling tickets to everyone he knows, and being a huge cheerleader for the performing arts.
